Love it! Since we dont usually need a full pot of coffee except on weekends I typically just grab a Starbucks Via instant coffee on the way to work in the morning (a pretty remarkable innovation, by the way) I was attracted to the hot water dispenser on this coffee maker. I like it particularly because of its 58-ounce capacity meaning that you dont have to keep refilling it if youre just using it once each morning to fill a car mug. My wife prefers tea to coffee, and she loves being able
Even better than I expected. I looked at a LOT of different coffee makers before deciding on this model. Buying a coffee maker has to be one of the hardest things to buy. The problems come in because everyone has a different take on what coffee is supposed to taste like and unfortunately many of them are dead wrong. The most important thing for anyone that really enjoys coffee the way it is supposed to be made is that the water heats up to a sufficient temperature (greater than 190 degrees). This allows for the best flavor

Works great for coffee,, hot water needs a redesign This machine was to make both the coffee hound and the tea lover in our family happy in the morning. Only one of us is happy.. No complaints at all with the coffee maker..The hot water dispenser has a strong bad taste that I cant get rid of with repeated vinegar or the 1 cup of lemon juice suggested by the customer service representative.. She had heard my story many times before..The taste is similar to drinking out of a garden hose. The customer rep assured me that the insides are
*Cuisinart DCC-RWF1 Replacement Coffeemaker Water Filters, Set of 2
Coffee is 98 percent water. Often overlooked, the quality of the water is as important as the quality of the coffee. A good rule of thumb is that if your water doesnt taste good from the tap, it wont taste any better in your coffee. Thats why Cuisinart suggests adding a water filter to the coffeemaker. The Cuisinart DCC-RWF charcoal water filter removes chlorine, calcium, bad tastes and odors, for the purest cup of coffee every time.
• Set of 2 charcoal water filters helps ensure deliciously fresh home-brewed coffee
• Removes chlorine, odors, calcium, and other water impurities prior to brewing
• Simple-to-install design; requires replacing every 60 days or after 60 uses
• For use with Cuisinart models DCC-1000BK, DCC-1200, DGB-600, DCC-2000, and DCC-2200
• Measures approximately 1-1/2 by 2-4/5 by 5 inches

Not Necessary For Pure Water BUT Can Prevent a Clogged Valve Some time ago, I decided to stop using these expensive filters. I already have a Brita charcoal activated filter and use that filtered water directly into my Cuisinart. No problem and very good coffee. When I was using the small Cuisinart filters, I experienced a lot of problems with slow water feed resulting in steam and other problems. I decided, after spending some $16 on filters over a period of a year, that I was just wasting money on these filters. I cleaned the coffee maker after I

A must for your coffee maker! I purchased these filters from Amazon and am very happy with them. I really noticed an improved taste in my coffee. I think this is a great investment to help maintain the taste of the coffee and increase the lifespan of your coffee maker by reducing build-up from water minerals.
Mark Eremite “This Is A Display Model Only” says:
Freshwater Fluid Flows Freely From Fine Filter! I live in Seoul, South Korea, where it is inadvisable to drink water directly from the tap. Unless, that is, your idea of a good time is to let a little amoebic dysentery cozy up and get friendly with your colon.Okay, so, the water isnt ALWAYS that scary to drink. Just, uh, just most of the time.Even when the water doesnt make you sick, it usually tastes like its been funneled through an old radiator. Coffeemakers, generally speaking, dont include water filters

Great little brewer This is a great little brewer for anyone who wants to brew just one quick cup or when you dont need to make a full pot. I use it when I leave early AM for the airport hours before the family wakes up. Green Tree supplies this unit with 50 pods of terrific coffee too. Its fast, quiet, and I think Ill easily save the cost of this brewer in coffee we dont pour out down the drain. Highly recommended.
G. Rowat “Helpful Consumer” says:
Important note to users getting watery coffee Ive had this brewer for over a year, and for the first few weeks was intensely disappointed in the watered down coffee it was producing. On the top of the machine it says Fill water tank with COLD water. It took me awhile to realize that THIS is the secret of the machine. Something to do with the heating of the water slows its drip through the pod. You get a much better cup of coffee if you use water from your refrigerator. Its still not a top of the line device, but its good for its
Wendy J. Schorr says:
Nice and compact unit but makes weak coffee! I agree with Nancy Linds review that the coffee that comes out of this little maker is very weak. If you like the flavor of a strong cup of coffee this isnt the unit for you. What I do like about it is its small size. I bought it for my desk at work and it fits perfectly and its really easy to use. The instructions say not to use more than one pod at a time but I think I may have to. Im just a little bit disappointed.
